My Helios accidents

I recently got a Helios 44 (not a 44-N but a genuine dye in the wool, m42 mount Helios 44) which I’ve only started to experiment with. Short answer though is that I love it, and I love the way you can subtly adjust the apertures. Everyone raves about the bokeh or out of focus rendering the Helios give. Here are a couple of shots where the out of focus region was part of the main object.

For the second image, every time I look at it full screen I get a psychedelic feeling that the red regions are moving towards me.

I’m not sure I like either of the pictures, but I’d rate them as something a little different as far as flower shots go.
